What is Coindisco and how does it work?

Modified on Tue, 8 Sep at 4:36 PM

Coindisco is a crypto on-ramp and off-ramp aggregator. It connects payment providers and shows their offers in one interface, so price, payment method, availability and verification requirements are comparable before you continue to a provider checkout.

Three things you can do

  • Buy crypto with fiat. An on-ramp purchase.
  • Sell crypto for fiat. An off-ramp sale.
  • Buy a token no provider sells directly. An indirect purchase: an intermediate asset is bought and swapped on-chain into the token you asked for.

What the comparison adds

Offers are not ranked by the advertised fee alone. Coindisco measures the effective rate against a market reference and shows it as True Fee, alongside context that changes which offer suits you: best price, best success rate, a provider you used before, reusable or simplified KYC, and active provider discounts.

The checkout itself belongs to the provider named on the offer. It takes the payment, runs its own checks, and delivers the crypto.

Note: what is on offer depends on the direction, your country or region, the asset, the network, the fiat currency, the payment method, the amount, and the configuration of each provider. Two people entering the same amount can see different lists.
