Do I need to complete verification?

Modified on Tue, 8 Sep at 4:38 PM

Verification requirements are set by the payment providers, not by Coindisco. What a provider asks for can depend on your identity, your region, the amount, the asset, the payment method and your previous activity with that provider.

Some offers carry a label ahead of the checkout, so the depth of the check is visible while you are still comparing.

Reusable KYC

A signed-in user completes verification once through Coindisco and reuses it with supported providers. An offer is labelled Reusable KYC only when your Coindisco verification is complete, sharing is ready for that provider, and the integration for it is in place.

Note: reusable KYC cuts down repeated checks. It is not a promise that a provider will never ask for more, because the final compliance decision stays with the provider.

Simplified KYC

This label marks combinations where a provider may require fewer steps. Eligibility is worked out from the provider, the asset, the payment method, the region and a maximum amount in USD equivalent. What exactly is requested varies from one provider to the next and is visible in the checkout of that provider.

Used before

A separate signal: you already completed a transaction with that provider. It sits alongside the two labels above rather than replacing them.
